«I Am Always Playing a Character»

For this project, I processed three demo recordings from the upcoming album Smile Baby. To approach the sound, I always work visually, as my music tells a story. «I Am Always Playing a Character» is a three-part video work that intensely explores the theme of the 'self'. In three black-and-white videos, I slip into three different characters: first, a planet floating weightlessly in space; followed by a demon that cannot find peace; and finally, the dancing «Smile Baby», which symbolises the inner child and the dance with one's own self.
